Best time
to visit |
|
|
The Serengeti can be visited
rewardingly all year round, but if migration
is your thing, then observe the following guidelines:
NDUTU (December to May)
When the migration begins and
wildebeest calve.
MORU KOPJES (All year
around) Plenty of water supply.
WESTERN CORRIDOR (June to
October) Plenty of food at this time
of the year and there also resident game year around.
SERONERA (All year round
with the months of January to March
and June to October being the preferred months) Migration
cuts across the park from the Western Corridor and head towards
the north-east.
LOBO AREA (June to July) Migration passes on their way
northwards.
SHORT-GRASS PLAINS (November to December) Migration
enters
this area coming from the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
